RULES & REGULATIONS

• Schooling Tack & Attire Allowed—NO DRAWREINS OR GERMAN MARTINGALES
• Ribbons to 5^th place—this is a “spring cleaning” benefit show, so to keep expenses down all placings will get a ribbon, but it may be a rosette, or single streamer, or from a different Whitehaven show
• Please notify Out Gate Keeper if you need a tack hold between classes!
• Concessions Available
• Door prizes and additional raffles will be held to help raise money

WH Gibraltar

On March 16^th, 2008, WH Gibraltar and his young rider/owner Anna Caroline Chinnes won a Regional Top 5 Award for completing the Region 12 50-Mile Endurance Championship. Unfortunately, 2 days later Gibraltar had to undergo colic surgery at NC State for a life-threatening inflamed small intestine (which was not a result of the ride, and for which a cause is still unknown). Thankfully this talented gelding survived, but his veterinary bills went through the roof! Gibraltar was bred by Whitehaven (a son of our famous straight Egyptian stallion WH Bodacious), and was sold four years ago to the Chinnes family, to be Anna Caroline’s first horse. Many of Whitehaven’s regular competitors know Anna Caroline—she is trainer Trisha Blackwell’s “right-hand man” as well as a working student. She has helped train, compete, and condition a number of farm and client horses for showing and endurance, and is always there to lend a helping hand. So now it is our turn to help her out. All of the proceeds from our May show will go directly to “AC” and her parents to help pay for Gibraltar’s enormous medical bill. In addition, we will be raffling off door prizes donated by local businesses, and accepting class sponsors.
